During your application

Keep the loan team in the loop.

Keep your mortgage review on track. Practical questions for a clearer next step.

The short answer

Changes to employment, income, debt, funds, the property, or the contract may affect an active mortgage review. Communicate early rather than assuming an earlier approval covers new facts.

Tell the team before a major change

A job change, new loan, large purchase, credit application, or significant deposit can create a need for new documentation or alter the evaluation. Ask before taking an action that might affect your finances during the process.

Keep records for the funds you use

The source and movement of funds can matter. Retain the records your loan team requests and explain unusual transfers or deposits through the approved secure process. Never create misleading documents or omit material information.

Respond to specific requests

A conditional approval may require additional information. Read each request carefully, provide complete records securely, and ask if something is unclear. Do not assume repeated requests are optional.
